This weekend in Zürich: RHIZOM Festival 2018

This weekend the Rhizom festival takes place for the second time at Rote Fabrik in Zurich. The collectively organized, interdisciplinary festival is dedicated to alternative club culture, art and politics and features a congress, workshops, a screening and acts such as Nochexxx, Toresch, Meuko! Meuko!, Carlos Perón, Don’t DJ.

19th-21th May at Rote Fabrik

Rhizom wants to be a space in which different contexts of club culture converge and interdisciplinary arts become accessible. It is important to the organizers that the festival connects the Swiss and international music scene and that the artists, helpers and visitors reflect upon the development of club culture.

The festival offers a packed program from Saturday afternoon to Monday noon, opening up on Saturday 19th of May with a congress and workshops. A Day Rave on Sunday with a outdoor stage (10am to 9pm), workshops, talks and a screening on Sunday evening frame the club program on Saturday and Sunday night. There’s no fixed entrance fee at Rhizom festival; thanks to a “prix libre” policy, each participant is free to decide what amount she or he is willing or able to pay and what the festival is worth to her/him.
